“The Ethics of What We Eat" Presentation: On October 12 2015, Vegitas hosted Rachel Atcheson of the Humane League in a Science Center lecture hall as she discussed the ethics of our food choices. We explored the nature of industrialized agriculture and the affect our food choices have on the animals and environment.
VegFest 2015: On October 24 2015, members of Vegitas visited the annual Boston Vegetarian Food Festival where we met other members of the vegetarian/vegan community and ate lots of healthy meat-free food.
"Animal Cognition, Consciousness, and Ethics": On October 26, 2015, Vegitas cohosted an event organized by Effective Altruism. We welcomed Dr. Irene Pepperberg who is a researcher at Harvard University in the field of animal cognition.
